The Visual Microphone

Researchers at MIT has found a way to passively recover sound through videos of objects.  Sound from speech or music causes objects such as a glass of water or a plant.  Video recordings of these vibrations, normally invisible to the naked eye, can be used to convert back to sound.  Who needs to bug a house or have an informant wear a wire when you can simply record a video of the house plant.
